I'm excited to show you the pages I created this week. I just love the creative teams I'm on. Linda and Erica continue to outdo themselves every week, and this week is no exception!

Erica's new kit this week is called Happy Homemaker (you might notice, it coordinates with last week's kit). This kit is packed full of super fun doodled elements!

LDrag Designs' new kit, Tangerine Twist, is absolutely gorgeous. I'm so in love with the colors! It was just begging to be used for a clustery, flowery page, so here's what I came up with...

The Quilt

I finally finished baby girl's quilt, and I'm so happy with how it turned out!!

I have been planning this quilt for months, but once I found fabric I liked and actually got going on it, it actually came together quite quickly. I think it helps that I did big old 8 inch squares. That and I tied it instead of quilting it.

Mostly because I'm lazy, but also because the minky fabric that I used for the back was too stretchy for machine quilting.

Just look at that soft, fuzzy coziness. :)

I'm just grateful I got it done before she arrived. Three more weeks to go! Maybe I have time to make matching sheets?

LDrag Designs has come out with an awesome and HUGE bundle this week! It's Mermaid Fantasy and it's packed full of good stuff! It's got the fun, girly mermaid stuff, but it's also got a lot of beachy/ocean life elements, too. The Sea Friends Add On is especially adorable!! So, here's what I made with it this week:

Dress

You may remember the little hat I made for baby girl not too long ago...

I started a little dress to match around the same time but did get it finished until just last night... finally! It's just a little pillowcase style dress. I wanted to keep it really simple since the colors are so bright.

Now that I've finished up that project, I've officially started on the quilt and I'm super excited about it! It's going to be cute!

I'm a bit late blogging these layouts because things have been a bit crazy around here lately. I'm only 4 weeks away from having this baby and I seem to have lost all my energy. ;) Better late than never, though... right?

LDrag designs was hard at work last week and created these TWO beautiful kits. They are both so bright and fun. I love the pages I made with them.

Nursing Cover

I mentioned in my last post that I had a couple of sewing projects in the works. I finished one of them last night! It's a nursing cover and I adore the end result!

So sweet and girly. :)

I used tutorials from Make It and Love It and Sew Much Ado as my inspiration, but ultimately I had to make some of it up because of the little ruffly detail...

...and the fact that I was working with a limited amount of fabric (definitely not enough to make it double sided!)

I also didn't have quite as much boning as what was recommended, but I think it will work out just fine.

I was worried about the double D ring strap being a bit tricky... especially since I'll probably be doing it one-handed, but it's actually really easy and convenient.

I think me and this nursing cover will get along just fine. :)

A hat! (And a flower, of course.)

I was inspired by one of my favorite crafting blogs to make a little hat for baby girl. She just made it look so easy! (She makes everything look so easy. I love her tutorials.)

So, here's how mine turned out:

I'm happy to report that for the first time in a LONG time (maybe ever?) I didn't need to use my seam ripper on this project! I can't brag too much because I did have to cut out the hat pieces three times before I cut it the right way (the "stretchiness" of the fabric needs to go from left to right). But, still! I'm making progress!

I just loved the fluffy little flower on these hats.

I even made the button myself! You can buy these button pieces and cover them with your own fabric (thanks to my friend Becca for teaching me that!).

I don't currently have anything for baby to wear that this hat will match with, so I might just have to try a little dress next. :)

Bubble Bath!

So I already mentioned that I couldn't wait to use Erica Zane's new baby kit, First Time Ever, to do a page for my boys, and I wasn't kidding. This kit has soooo much cute stuff in it!! Here's what I came up with, also using some awesome new stitches she's released (she has a couple sets, but I used Little Sew & Sew {Framed Set}).

First Time Ever

Erica Zane has just released a HUGE baby kit called The First Time Ever.... perfect timing for me, right? This kit is totally loaded with stuff and it's perfect for girls or boys, new babies or milestones. Pretty much whatever. Here's the page I did with it:

Oh man... I'm having so much fun with the girly pages. :) I love this kit so much, though... I need to use it for my boys, too.

I also scrapped a page of one of the "adventures" the boys and I have been on in our new area.

Car Seat Cover

This has been on my list of crafting things to do lately, but I had to wait until I got a car seat to do it. We finally got the car seat on Thursday, so I immediately went to the craft store to pick out fabric so that I could work on this today.

It turned out better than I expected, considering my not-so-fabulous sewing skills. I used this tutorial as my inspiration.

I didn't want to deal with sewing straps and velcro and all that, so I just attached ribbon instead. Not only was it super easy, but it results in these cute bows when you tie it on. And let's face it... we're all about the "girliness" with this baby, right?

Funny how having new baby things in the house is starting to make it all feel a little more real!

Bows!

As I mentioned, I am expecting a girl in a few months and I'm so excited to do some "girly" crafts! I made my first attempt at hair bows this afternoon. I made a little "bow tool" like the one found HERE and it worked like a charm.

I wanted to keep them simple and I think they turned out cute.

I wanted itty-bitty newborn bows (the kind you stick on with a drop of honey), so I didn't bother with clips.

I should have put something in the picture for size reference, but these would probably fit on a quarter. Teeny!

This last one is a bit bigger and I might end up putting it on a clip. We'll see.

I'm sure there will be plenty more bows to come! :)

Hello poor little neglected scrapping blog. It's been so long!

You may have wondered why I mysteriously stopped scrapping 2 months ago (if there's anyone out there left to wonder). My husband had to fire his office manager in May and so I took over the job, which means all my free time flew right out the window. After working, taking care of the kids, and trying to keep up with the house work, I was too exhausted to do anything else! On top of that, I've had some other craziness in my personal life, making my scrapping/blogging time non-existent.

Things are getting back to normal now, though, and I'm actually scrapping again. It feels good! So, without any more blabber from me, I'll just share a few of the pages I've done since I last posted.

So, I totally missed last week's new releases and layouts! Yikes! I think I'll make it up to you by posting a template freebie sometime this week. Sound fair?

Anyway, I've got a little bit of catching up to do, so here we go...

Last week, Chelle's Creations released this awesome basketball kit, Slam Dunk. My youngest is obsessed with basketball lately and has requested a basketball party for his birthday, which is this weekend, so this kit couldn't have come out at a more perfect time for me! It also comes with add-ons for different team colors! You'll notice in my layout that I used the red team add-on.

As for this week, Erica Zane released these AWESOME date elements, EZ Date Spots. I can't tell you how in love I am with these.

Chelle's Creations also had another new release this week. Chelle is the queen of stitching and these Stitch Me Up Frames are awesome! The best thing about Chelle's stitching is that the holes are separate from the stitches so you can shadow them individually for a more realistic look.

I am SO ready for spring to be here!!! It's still a bit chilly here where I live, but the sun has been out and most of the snow is melted. I can't wait for warmer weather!!

In honor of spring (and Easter!), Chelle's Creations has released this adorable new kit today! It's called Carrot Patch... aren't those little bunnys just the cutest??

I got two pages done this week, and I really, really love them both!

Sarah Bennett has a fun new kit out this week called Spunky Monkey. Don't you just love these colors??

I did this layout for one of the ADSR challenges this week. We had to come up with a bucket list of 50 things, which was actually realy HARD! lol I really love how the layout turned out, though.

My first page for Chelle's CT is using her new Lucky Me alpha. This alpha is just in time for St. Patrick's day, but it's easy to recolor, so it's super versatile!

Well, I'm sad to say that my stay on the Scrap Matters CT has come to an end. It was so much fun and I'm so grateful I had the opportunity! On a happier note, I've been asked to join the CT for Chelle's Creations! Yay!! If you haven't ever checked out her stuff, you should because it's super cute!! I've been quite the busy little crafter this week. Here are the scrapping layouts I've worked on:

This one uses a new kit by Britt-ish designs called Animal Kingdom, as well as a Mini Blocks template by Plum Dumpling Designs

This page uses a kit called d00d by Simply Scraps and Angie Kovacs. I just LOVE the colors in this kit!!

I did it for the scraplift challenge at SM and I lifted beautiful by mrsduke2u.

For this page, I used Vibrant Memories by Pri Rocha. Another kit with fabulous colors.

My partner and I are still plugging along in the ADSR challenge. I had to do this page about myself this week. It was fun to use a girly kit for a change... I used this cute kit by Erica Zane called Cute Lil Kaylee.

And finally, this page is also for ADSR and I used Shiver Me Timbers by Britt-ish Designs and one of the Mini Blocks Templates by Plum Dumpling Designs.

And after all that, would you believe I had one other little craft to share??? I made these fun little party favors for my son's birthday party. We had a pirate theme, so I made these little pirate ships out of card stock and made the sail out of construction paper (and paint), and filled them with chocolate gold coins. They were a big hit!

The template for these boats was a freebie, but I can't remember the site where I got it from! :(

Have you heard.... the ADSR (Amazing Digi Scrap Race) has started! If you want to know how it all works, you can read about it HERE. (You have to scroll down a bit to get to the rules.) This is my first year playing, and I'm super excited! I've partnered up with a great scrapper and real life friend, Meggan and together we are the Scraperellas! (Like Cinderella.... because we're enslaved by our scrapping addiction. ;)

The first challenge was to create a page about your partner, so that's what I did! I used a new kit from Juno Designs called Love is All Around Me.

I've also started a new project: an ABC book for my little boy. I know it seems silly to start that right when I've started ADSR (which requires two layouts a week!), but I did an ABC book for my oldest when he turned 3 and I wanted to give one to my youngest on his third birthday as well. He turnse 3 the first week of April! So, I've got to get going on it.

Whew!! I'm all moved into my new house! Well, I've still got a bit of unpacking to do, but I'm getting there. Then the fun part begins: decorating!! Maybe I'll have a few non-digi scrapping posts to show off my crafty projects.

Feeling crafty

I've been in such a crafty mood this week! Surprisingly, I've only done one digital scrapbooking page, but I did do this fun little projcet:

These are magnets I made for my mom for her birthday. I think they turned out super cute! I mod podged paper onto chipboard shapes and then added embellishments with the glue gun. After that, I stuck a magnet on the back (also with the glue gun) and they were ready to go! Super easy!

As for the digi scrapping I did this week, I used Erica Zane's new kit, Sweetest Days. I love the colors in this kit!

I did this page for the Grand Theft Layout Challenge at Scrap Matters and I lifted Puddle Jumper by nockosh.

I'm going to be moving this week (and I still have LOTS of packing left to do!), so I'm not sure if I'll get an other post in any time soon. We'll see.

It's that time of year when the love-themed kits start coming out. It can be a bit challenging using these kits for boy pages, but I did two pages this week and I'm really pleased with them.

For the first page, I used Heart's Content by Erica Zane and Denise Beatty Originals. I love how this kit has more than the traditional Valentine's Day/Love colors.

For the second page I did this week, I used Sarah Bennett's beautiful new kit, Love You Always. This is a gorgeous kit with a vintage feel to it, and I really love this page I did. So much, in fact, that you just might want to check back for a template. *hint, hint* :)

I participated in a couple of Scrap Matters challenges last week...

The first was the Saturday Special (I've been loving that challenge lately!). Amanda showed us a great way to do extractions. I've also been dying to use this super cute kit, Bumps and Blahs, by Kaye Winiecki.

The other challenge I did last week was the Matter of Snap Challenge. The challenge this month is silhouettes.

This gorgeous kit is Resolutionary by Stolen Moments. It's always fun for me to be able to do a more girly page. :)

I hope this year brings you all happiness, health, and success!

For this two pager, I used a template by Britt-ish Designs from her 2-Pagers: set 4 template pack and a SUPER CUTE kit from Jennifer Barrette Designs called Baked Goods. I've been dying to use this kit, and making cookies for Santa was the perfect excuse! :)

I also did a page for the Word Up challenge at Scrap Matters and I used O Come Let Us Adore Him by Chelle's Creations. The little felt nativity people in this kit are SOOOOO adorable!

I was sick over the weekend and didn't get around to posting the layouts I did last week. Yes, I said layoutS. I was a good little scrapper last week! :)

I absolutely LOVE the layout that I did with Sarah Bennett's new kit, Tough Boy. This kit is SUCH an awesome boy kit and can be used for almost anything! If you visit Sarah's blog, you can download a really cute little add on for free!

I also did this page for this week's Saturday Special. (I'm loving those Saturday Specials lately!) Cyndi taught us how to shadow clear elements, which has always driven me crazy!! I was so glad to learn an easy way to do it!

One of my other "layouts" this week was actually a hybrid card. I used Sarah Bennett's Old Time Christmas kit for it. (The green Christmas tree paper is actually from her Feels Like Home kit).

This is a page I did using a kit from AnnaBV Designs called The Brightest Star of Christmas.

I wouldn't have done a page like this if I hadn't been inspired by her beautiful kit, but I LOVE how it turned out, and I'm so glad I scrapped this memory. Here's a preview of the kit:

Last, but not least, I also did a page with Erica Zane's new kit, Winter Crush.

It's times like these when I wish all my scrapbook pages didn't have to be so boyish. Look at all those cute pink things! I was able to make a page with it, though and I really love how it turned out!

Well, it's been a while since I've posted, and I completely missed release day posts for Scrap Matters AND Sarah Bennett, but that's because this past weekend was Thanksgiving for me!! We went out of town and spent the weekend at my parents' house for an early Thanksgiving feast... and it was so fun!

But it's back to business today, and I've been trying to catch up on everything in the digi-scrapping world. I have quite a few things to share with you today!

First, here's a page that I did last week with a new release from Stolen Moments called Chocolate Covered Snow Flakes. I also used her new template pack, Scraps by Number: Just Call Me Lori. This kit has such adorable elements in it and I love the colors!

It SNOWED here this week! I can't believe it!!! And I'm not talking about a few little flurries. We practically had a blizzard on Tuesday!!

I was hoping fall would last just a little bit longer! We did have an early Thanksgiving dinner with my husband's side of the family, though, which made it feel a little more "fall". I used a cute new kit from Erica Zane and Denise Beatty Originals to scrap the event.... it's in the store today! It's called Let's Get Together. I also used Erica's newest set of templates.

I've been so busy this week!! Mostly with potty training. So fun! (Not.)

I have one page to share today. I used the kit Benjamin by Jeni Hopewell. Such a perfect kit for little boys, and I love the colors because they aren't the typical little boy colors.

These two pages were created using Sarah Bennett's new Drewskie paper packs and her new Felty Alpha. The patterned papers are in her store and you can snag the solid ones for free on her blog!

I've had last year's Christmas pictures hanging over my head all year and decided that I need to finish them up before THIS Christmas rolls around! So, here is the first of several using Jingle All the Way by GG Digital Designs and a template by Sus Designs:

Such a gorgeous kit with rich, deep colors. I love it! This page was also for the template challenge at Scrap Matters.

I have been so busy this week getting ready for my son's preschool, it's amazing I've gotten any scrapping done at all! We are doing Joy School, which is a home based preschool where the moms rotate teaching. This week (the first week of school) was my week to teach! I made this fun cover for our information binder:

I used Explore. learn. grow. by Sahlin Studios. SUCH an awesome kit! I can't wait to use it again for an actual layout.

I also scrapped my son's first day back to preschool using Kindergarten Kid by GG Digital Designs.

I've been in a scrapping mood for the first time in weeks (months?) so I might have even more to share very soon! :)

So much to share today!! (That's what happens when you're a blogging slacker!) I have officially started my guest spot at Scrap Matters!! Woo hoo! I'm beyond excited!! I'm going to be doing a lot of scrapping tonight. ;)

Speaking of Scrap Matters and scrapping tonight, there is going to be a speed scrap!

Well, I had a super busy weekend and didn't get a chance to post my "Battle of the Creative Teams" Round 2 layout here on the blog. The challenge had to do with music. Our team decided to do the song "All you need is love" by the Beatles. We each took a line of the chorus to use as the title of our layout. Here is my layout "Love":

As I mentioned, I'm participating in the Battle of the CTs over at Digiscrap Addicts. I'm on the "Bennett's Babes" team, scrapping for Sarah Bennett (obviously). Basically, they give us a challenge each week and the public votes on the best layouts. It's gonna be so much fun!! Make sure you go vote on Monday! :)

This week is Round 1 and the challenge was "White Space". Here's what I came up with:
